California!!

Sorry, these pictures i just poster are all backwards because this was actually the day before we drove home. Oh well.
Cal and I spent a day in San Francisco. It was fun! This is me and Alcatraz. :)
Coit Tower.
Us at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

I love this picture of Tawnie (our niece)! She is so cute!
Jamie (Cal's cousin's wife) bundling up at the beach. It wasn't really a warm beach.
On our drive to SF, we stopped at this really pretty beach and had lunch.

Playing at the beach where we stayed.

Cal, Jenna (cousin), and Keith (uncle) getting ready to go surfing in Santa Cruz.

Cave Falls - Yellowstone Nov. '07

Cave Falls - From inside the cave.
This is the southwest corner of Yellowstone.
It is only about 45 min. away and didn't cost anything to hike and camp this time of year.

From outside the cave

I was so close to being able to sing the zippidy-do-da song.

This guy liked peanut butter brittle as much as I did, maybe. He was going to eat out of my hand a bunch of times, but the shutter sound my camera makes kept spooking it. He got his snack on the ones I left on the branch though.
We car-camped the night before in the back of the jeep. It was nice turning on the car heater every once in a while when it was 2 degrees out.
Bechler Falls.
Amber is a great sport as most of you can imagine this was a Calvin idea.

Ok, not too eventfull, but close to the caverns was the headwaters of the Missouri River, so we went....then we left for the cabin. This is where the river starts.

On our first anniversary weekend extravaganza, we went to Lewis and Clark Caverns first. It was amazing. I like caves. It could have only been better if there were no stairs or lights inside and we had to climb the whole thing. If you are ever in central Montana......I would say its a must see.

I'm prety sure the general consensus is that she's too hot for me.

This is the view from the outside of the cave. Lewis and Clark traveled along that river, but never saw the cave, not suprisingly.

Sun Lakes July 23-26

Cal and I actually had some vacation time together, and we had a blast. Last month we went to Sun Lakes with the Horch family and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Calvin's family has been doing this trip for years, and now I completely understand why. There was plenty of water, sun, and relaxation. Unfortunately we didn't get very many pictures. We were too busy doing stuff. Here is a picture of us cliff jumping. Cal and I are at the top. It took me a while to convince myself to do this one, but I did it!

Amber's Northeastern Tour
This last April I had the opportunity to go on a tour with the interior design department from BYU-I. We started in Boston and from there went to Salem, then to Newport Rhode Island, and then down to New York City. It was a interesting trip with a lot of ups and downs. Looking back I really did have a great time. I learned a lot and got to see and experience some amazing things. I missed Calvin like crazy though. I really appreciate him for letting me go. He is a great guy, isn't he? Anyway, here are some pictures from my adventures. They are not the greatest pictures but they will have to do!

Me and my best buddy Kristin Radmall at Trinity Church in Boston. It is definitely a work of art designed by Henry Hobson Richardson.

We went on a Duck Tour that took us all around Boston. It was the best!

Good old Paul Revere's home.

Boston was my favorite city from the tour. The buildings were so cute. We took a walking tour up Beacon Hill. These are some homes from that tour.
This is an awesome building on the MIT campus designed by Frank Gehry.

The House of Seven Gables.

These are the Newport Mansions in Rhode Island. They were amazing!!
